ReClaim alternatives and comparisons

ReClaim is a free, minimalist Android launcher with app blocking built in. It's not the only way to spend less time on your phone, and it isn't the right fit for everyone. This page compares it with the apps people most often weigh it against, says where each one is better, and links to our full write-ups.

We make ReClaim, so read this with that in mind. Ratings, installs and prices were checked on Google Play (US) and the developers' own sites in October 2026. They change often, so check the listing before you decide.

ReClaim vs Olauncher

Olauncher is a free, open-source text launcher with more than a million installs and a long track record. It's the better pick if you want the lightest possible launcher, open-source code or F-Droid builds. ReClaim is also free, and it adds blocks, daily and weekly limits, App Reminders, schedules and friction for hidden apps, so you don't need a separate blocker.

ReClaim vs Niagara Launcher

Niagara is minimal in looks but rich in features: a wave alphabet, notification replies on the home screen, widgets, and Pro extras like Usage Breaker reminders. It's better if you want a capable, good-looking daily driver. ReClaim is simpler, has no widgets, and focuses on actually limiting apps, for free.

ReClaim vs minimalist phone

minimalist phone is the established dumbphone-style launcher, with an app blocker, schedules, short-video blocking, a notification filter and grayscale. It's sold as monthly, annual or one-time plans, each with a free trial. ReClaim covers the core (icon-free list, blocks, limits, schedules, reminders) for free. It doesn't include a notification filter or short-video blocking.

ReClaim vs Before Launcher

Before Launcher is best known for its notification filter, which only lets the apps you choose make noise. Its Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase. Choose Before if notifications are your main problem. Choose ReClaim if the problem is opening apps, since it blocks and limits them rather than filtering alerts.

ReClaim vs ScreenZen

ScreenZen is a free, donation-supported standalone blocker with escalating delays, scroll interruptions, limits, schedules and website blocking. It works with any launcher you already like. ReClaim replaces your home screen instead, so the blocking and the minimal layout come together.

ReClaim vs one sec

one sec puts a short breathing pause in front of distracting apps. Its developers cite a peer-reviewed PNAS study on the approach. It's free for one app, and Pro plans unlock more, including Shorts and Reels blocking. ReClaim's App Reminders take a similar intention-first approach, but ReClaim is free for every app and also has hard blocks and limits.

ReClaim vs AppBlock

AppBlock is built for strict blocking, with Strict Mode, schedules triggered by time, location or Wi-Fi, and website and keyword blocking. Its free tier has limits, and Premium removes them. Choose AppBlock if you need blocking that's very hard to undo. ReClaim is free, and it combines blocks and limits with a calmer home screen.

ReClaim vs Digital Wellbeing

Digital Wellbeing is already on most Android phones. It gives you app timers, Focus mode and Bedtime mode at no cost and with nothing to install. ReClaim adds longer blocks (up to a year), weekly limits, App Reminders and friction to open hidden apps, plus a minimal home screen.
